Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Aroma AWK-115S Hot H20 X-Press 1-1/2-Liter Cordless Water Kettle

Customer Review: Great Product
Summary: 5 Stars

I recently converted to a french press for my coffee and wanted a fast, easy way to boil water for it. This kettle is perfect for me. It's stainless steel and imparts no flavor to the water. It boils a liter of water in three to four minutes, much faster than on the stove. The footprint is small on my limited counter space. It has a shut-off which engages about a minute after the water boils so you can't forget about it and boil it dry. I am very happy with this product.

Customer Review: kettle
Summary: 4 Stars

Using this kettle for 2 weeks plus now. No problems so far. Works great. Didn't give it 5 stars because the outside gets hot but as a grown up, I know how to be careful. Also, trained the kids not to touch....

Customer Review: Great for ther money
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought this kettle in June 2009. Today, February 23, 2010, it appears to have died. After reading everyones' reviews (thank you), I've decided to buy another Aroma. Why? It is well designed and does everything it should: heats water quickly, shuts off automatically, lifts esily from the base, has an "on" indicator light, and looks good on the counter. No plastic parts inside, no smell. And, as one reviewer pointed out, you can hear when it is about to come to a full boil which is good for making green tea. I figure that $25 and free shipping from Amazon is a good deal for a kitchen appliance that I use several times a day, especially compared to more costly models that appear to have major problems and design flaws.

Customer Review: Love my new kettle!
Summary: 4 Stars

Damn, I love my new electric kettle! We have a crappy-a$$ induction electric stove in our rental apartment, and it would take forever (10-20 mins.) to get hot water for a cup of tea. In the summer, making a cup of tea (for iced tea) would actually heat up the kitchen measurably. So annoying!

Now, getting a cup of tea is so fast, I am up to two cups of green, one cup of vanilla, and some kind of bedtime tea most days. Good for my health, good for my sanity. And it is fast! Most reviews talk about how long it takes to heat up a full pot, but what they don't say is how fast it is if you are just making tea for two. Starting with the super-cold water that comes out of the tap here in the Northeast in February, and filling the kettle only about halfway, we have tea steeping in the cups in about a minute and a half.

I am enchanted!

If you buy yourself one, you will be very happy. Also, if you make drip coffee at home, you can make coffee just as fast ( and a lot more quietly than with a stove kettle, if you have little children sleeping in the early morning.) Hot, delicious, superfresh coffee, one cup at a time, whenever you want it. So tasty....

Customer Review: Great Little Pot
Summary: 5 Stars

This is perfect for what I wanted. It is just the right size. I heat water for one or two cups of coffee or tea at a time so I did not want a huge pot taking up alot of room. It heats quickly and the auto turn off is really a plus if I get busy and forget I've started coffe water! You can't beat it for the price.
